The MIDlet Satellite was created to allow the user of a mobile device to view current weather situation through satellite image adapted for device's display. Its creation was based on the wisdom that one picture can speak better than 1000 words.


Satellite image shows almost all of Europe, allowing MIDlet to be used outside of the borders of Croatia where it was created. Tourists or others planning trips around Europe could find it interesting. As well as viewing the current weather situation, users can see satellite image animations for the last 4 hours. By getting access to such information user him/herself can predict if the weather will change or if it will remain the same. The source of the satellite images is EUMETSAT.
